The perfect Italian pizza recipe



  • 500g flour
  • 10g yeast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp burp
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 250ml water


  • peeled canned tomatoes 
  • spices: salt, pepper, basil, incense

Top part

  • mozzarella cheese 
  • fresh mushrooms 
  • ham (or other meat optional)

Preparation of the dough for the pizza

In a bowl place the flour, yeast, salt and burp . Add the milk, egg yolk and olive oil. Slowly add the water while stirring continuously. Knead the dough until it starts to separate from the walls of the vessel and the arms (5-7 minutes). Then cover the bowl with a towel and let stand for 2-3 hours at room temperature. During this time, the dough will double in volume.

Preparation of the sauce

Do not use fresh tomatoes or ketchup. To prepare the sauce, blend peeled canned tomatoes and add salt, pepper, fresh basil and incense (to taste). Instead of canned tomatoes, you can use homemade tomato sauce.

Making the pizza

Brush the bottom and sides of the baking tray with a little oil. Take part of the dough, form a ball and attempt to roll, but put it directly in the center of the tray. With your fingers gently press the dough gently stretching from the center to the sides of the tray.

Important: you should get thin crust. Although the ingredients are provided for 2 pizzas, depending on the size of your pan, you may need to use less pastry.

The first mistake at making pizza is putting too much ingredients. Here is the rule “less – more”, you need to use less ingredients. Otherwise, the dough will not be able to bake and the pizza will be “fluid”. Brush the dough with tomato sauce. The layer should be transparent. Spread slices of mozzarella over the sauce. Finally spread the fresh mushrooms and meat product choice (ham, tea sausage, pepperoni, etc.). Once again- do not overdo it with the ingredients!

The oven should be preheated to a maximum temperature included upper and lower heater. Place the pizza to bake. The cooking time is 5-10 minutes. You will know that the pizza dough is ready when you get a golden. Once you remove it, at the pizza place a few leaves of fresh basil and serve. Good appetite!
